THE STORY OF LOST LIONEL
“That was my best day in school!” - Exbourne Primary School Pupil
Meet Lionel: He’s greedy, selfish, mean, cruel, and very very serious about it. His life is devoted entirely to himself and he doesn’t give a thought or a care to those he tramples as he progresses through his unpleasant existence. One might say that Lionel has lost his way – his brother certainly does.
Until, that is, the day Lionel really becomes lost…
Lost in the Hidden Realm of Enchandia.
A magical land filled with fairies and pranksters; a realm bound together by dreams and imaginings; and the place that is home to the mysterious Jazzman.
The only way Lionel can escape and return to his own world is to re-discover the values he had lost so long ago.
However, these are not the things he wants to hear.
Luckily, the magical folk of Enchandia know that actions speak louder than words; and the fun begins as they try to teach Lionel the enjoyment to be had in becoming a better person.
Will Lionel change? Can the Fairies do it alone? His brother believes there is hope, but only if he can find a special group of children who truly believe that Lost Lionel can be Found.
With magic, special effects, music and slapstick, ‘The Story of Lost Lionel’ is the spectacular show that unites a strong moral message with high-energy fun, laughs and excitement. The show helps to highlight the effects on others of a positive attitude, kindness, imagination and fun with responsibility.
This production has been created to present issues of PSHE and Citizenship through the magic of Comedy Theatre.
The educational aspect is intended as support to the classroom ethos - underpinning ethical and moral constants.
The fable qualities of the production operate alongside the principles of the use of imagination, and the importance of an individual's behaviour towards others.
